11-6 FINAL DRIVE
Drive Chain
Drive Chain Slack Inspection
• Refer to the Drive Chain Slack Inspection (see Drive
  Chain Slack Inspection(2-37)).
Drive Chain Slack Adjustment
• Refer to the Drive Chain Slack Adjustment (see Drive
  Chain Slack Adjustment(2-38)).
Wheel Alignment Inspection/Adjustment
• Refer to the Wheel Alignment Inspection (see Wheel
  Alignment Inspection(2-39)).
Drive Chain Wear Inspection
• Refer to the Drive Chain Wear Inspection (see Drive
  Chain Wear Inspection(2-39)).
Drive Chain Lubrication
• Refer to the Drive Chain Lubrication Condition Inspection
  (see Drive Chain Lubrication Condition Inspection(2-37)).
Drive Chain Removal
• Remove:
   Mud Guard (see Mud Guard Removal(15-33))
     Swingarm (see Swingarm Removal section (13-32))
     Engine Sprocket Cover (see Engine Sprocket Re-
     moval(11-10))
•   Remove the drive chain [A] from the engine sprocket [B],
    and take it off the chassis.

Drive Chain Installation
• Installation is the reverse of removal.
• Drive Chain Slackchain
  Adjust  the drive       slack after installing the chain (see
                       Adjustment(2-38)).
Drive Chain Replacement
• Remove:
   Mud Guard (see Mud Guard Removal(15-33))
     Engine Sprocket Cover (see Engine Sprocket Re-
     moval(11-10))

                          NOTICE
    For safety, if the drive chain shall be replaced, re-
    place it using a recommended tool.
