Electronic Cruise Control System

• Remove:
   Screws [A]
     Plate [B]
•   Free the electronic cruise control cancel switch (rear
    brake) [C].

• Open
  [C].
       the band [A] and clamps [B] to free the switch lead

• Open  the clamp [A] and disconnect the switch lead con-
  nector [B].

• Install the cruise control cancel switch [A] with the plate
  [B] and screws [C].
• Temporarily
  peg bracket.
                 install the rear master cylinder to the front foot

• Connect    a tester between the cruise control cancel switch
  lead terminals to check the continuity.
• Adjust   the cruise control cancel switch position so that
  the switch is turn off when the rear brake pedal [D] is
 depressed about 6 mm (0.24 in.) [E].
○The continuity of the cruise control cancel switch should
 turn off before the brake light switch turn on in the brake
 pedal stroke.
•Run the leads correctly (see Cable, Wire, and Hose Rout-
 ing section (18-2)).
•Install the removed parts.
•Inspect the cruise control cancel switch input signal condi-
 tion (see Electronic Cruise Control System Switches and
 Buttons Inspection(16-83)).
