3-54 FUEL SYSTEM (DFI)
Intake Air Pressure Sensor #1 (Service Code 12) (DTC P0105, P0107)
Intake Air Pressure Sensor #1 Inspection (Service
Code 12/DTC P0105)
(Checking wire for open circuit)
• Disconnect:
   ECU Connectors (see ECU Removal)
Intake Air Pressure Sensor #1 Connector (see Intake Air
   Pressure Sensor #1 Removal)
• Check the wiring for continuity between the ECU harness
  connector and sensor connector.
    Wiring Continuity Inspection
     ECU Harness Connector [A] ←→
Intake Air Pressure Sensor #1 Connector [B]
          Y/BL lead (ECU terminal 18) [C]
If there is no continuity, repair or replace the main har-
    ness.
If there is continuity, first check the intake air pressure
sensor #1 wirings (see Intake Air Pressure Sensor #1 Cir-
    cuit).
If there is no continuity, repair or replace the main har-
    ness.
If there is continuity, second check the terminals of the
sensor and ECU for corrosion or bent.
If the terminals are corroded or bent, replace the intake
air pressure sensor #1 and/or ECU.
(Checking wire for short circuit to power supply wire)
• Connect the ECU connectors.
• Connect the measuring adapter [A] between the harness
connector and intake air pressure sensor #1 as shown.
   Main Harness [B]
Intake Air Pressure Sensor #1 [C]
Special Tool - Measuring Adapter: 57001-1700
• Connect
  leads.
a digital meter [D] to the measuring adapter

Intake Air Pressure Sensor #1 Output Voltage
       Connections to Adapter:
        Digital Meter (+) → Y (sensor Y/BL) lead
Digital Meter (–) → BK (sensor G) lead

• Measure the output voltage with the engine stopped and
  with the connector joined.
• Turn the ignition switch on.
    Output Voltage
     Usable About DC 3.80 ∼ 4.20 V at standard
Range: atmospheric pressure (101.32 kPa, 76
                     cmHg)

                             NOTE
○The output voltage changes according to local atmo-
      spheric pressure.

• Turn the ignition switch off.
If the reading is DC 5 V or more, repair or replace the main
    harness.
If the main harness is no problem, replace the intake air
    pressure sensor #1.
