Brakes › ECU Inspection (Service Code 55)

BRAKES 12-49 Anti-Lock Brake System • Recheck the service code indication; erase the service code, perform the pre-diagnosis inspection 1 and 2, and retrieve the service code. If the yellow ABS indicator light (LED) [A] lights, the ABS hydraulic unit has trouble. Replace the ABS hydraulic unit. If the yellow ABS indicator light (LED) does not light, ABS system is normal (service code is not stored; temporary failure.). Power Supply Voltage Abnormal (Over-Voltage) (Service Code 53) • Check the charging voltage (see Charging Voltage In- spection in the Electrical System chapter). If the charging voltage is good, go to next step. • Recheck the service code indication; erase the service code, perform the pre-diagnosis inspection 1 and 2, and retrieve the service code. If the yellow ABS indicator light (LED) [A] lights, the ABS hydraulic unit has trouble. Replace the ABS hydraulic unit. If the yellow ABS indicator light (LED) does not light, ABS system is normal (service code is not stored; temporary failure.). ABS Solenoid Valve Relay Supply Voltage Inspection (Low-Voltage) (Service Code 54) • Check the charging voltage (see Charging Voltage In- spection in the Electrical System chapter). If the charging voltage is good, go to next step. • Recheck the service code indication; erase the service code, perform the pre-diagnosis inspection 1 and 2, and retrieve the service code. If the yellow ABS indicator light (LED) [A] lights, the ABS hydraulic unit has trouble. Replace the ABS hydraulic unit. If the yellow ABS indicator light (LED) does not light, ABS system is normal (service code is not stored; temporary failure.).
