Frame
Frame Inspection
• Visually
  warp.
           inspect the frame for cracks, dents, bending, or

○If there is any damage to the frame, replace it.
                           WARNING
    A repaired frame may fail in use, possibly causing
    an accident resulting in injury or death. If the frame
    is bent, dented, cracked, or warped, replace it.

Rear Frame Removal
• Remove:
   Side Cover (see Side Cover Removal)
     Rear Fender (see Rear Fender Removal)
     Rear Frame Bolts [A] (Both Sides)
     Rear Footpeg Bracket Bolt Caps [B] (Both Sides)
     Rear Footpeg Bracket Bolts [C] and Nuts (Both Sides)
     Rear Frame [D]

Rear Frame Installation
• Installation  is the reverse of removal.
• Replace    the rear footpeg bracket nuts with new ones.

  Apply  a  non-permanent    locking agent to the thread of the

• Tighten:
    Torque - Rear Frame Bolts: 45 N·m (4.6 kgf·m, 33 ft·lb)
             Rear Footpeg Bracket Bolts: 25 N·m (2.5 kgf·m, 18
               ft·lb)

Rear Footpeg Bracket Removal
• Open  the clamp [A] (right side only).
• footpeg bracket
  Free the brake hose [B] from the guide [C] of the rear
                  (right side only).
• Spring Preload Adjuster Bolts [D] and Bracket (Right
  Remove:

     Side Only)
     Muffler Body Mounting Bolt [E] and Washer (Right Side
     Only)
     Rear Footpeg Bracket Bolt Caps [F]
     Rear Footpeg Bracket Bolts [G] and Nuts
     Rear Footpeg Bracket Bolt (Lower) [H] and Washer
•   Remove the rear footpeg bracket [I].
