Front Wheel Rotation Sensor Signal (Service Code 27) (DTC P0500)
Front Wheel Rotation Sensor Signal Inspection
• Inspect  the wheel rotation sensor (see Wheel Rotation
  Sensor Inspection in the Brakes chapter).
• Inspect the wheel rotation sensor air gap (see Wheel Ro-
  tation Sensor Air Gap Inspection in the Brakes chapter).
• Inspect the wheel rotation sensor rotor (see Wheel Rota-
  tion Sensor Rotor Inspection in the Brakes chapter).
(Checking wire for open circuit)
• Disconnect:
   ECU Connectors (see ECU Removal)
   Front Wheel Rotation Sensor Lead Connector
   ABS Hydraulic Unit Connector (see ABS Hydraulic Unit
   Removal in the Brakes chapter)

• Check
  tors.
        the wiring for continuity between harness connec-

    Wiring Continuity Inspection
     ECU Harness Connector [A] ← →
        ABS Hydraulic Unit Connector [B]
          G/Y lead (ECU terminal 10, ABS Hydraulic Unit
          terminal 8) [C]

    Wiring Continuity Inspection
     ABS Hydraulic Unit Connector [A] ← →
        Front Wheel Rotation Sensor Connector [B]
          W/BK lead (ABS Hydraulic Unit Connector terminal
          12) [C]
          BK/W lead (ABS Hydraulic Unit Connector terminal
          3) [D]

    If there is no continuity, repair or replace the main har-
    ness.
    If there is continuity, replace the front wheel rotation sen-
    sor (see Front Wheel Rotation Sensor Removal/Installa-
    tion in the Brakes chapter).
