Camshaft, Camshaft Chain
Cam Wear Inspection
• Remove    the camshafts (see Camshaft Removal).
• Measure    the height [A] of each cam with a micrometer.
  If the cams are worn down past the service limit, replace
 the camshaft.
 Cam Height
   Standard:
      Exhaust        32.943 ∼ 33.057 mm (1.2970 ∼ 1.3015 in.)
      Intake         32.943 ∼ 33.057 mm (1.2970 ∼ 1.3015 in.)
    Service Limit:
      Exhaust        32.84 mm (1.293 in.)
      Intake         32.84 mm (1.293 in.)

Camshaft Chain Removal
• Split the crankcase (see Crankcase Splitting in the Crank-
  shaft/Transmission chapter).
• Remove
  sprocket.
